3 new Covid-positive cases recorded in Bohol

Gov. Arthur Yap reports that there are three (3) new coronavirus disease (Covid)- positive cases, all are from Malingin Island in Bien Unido. The governor released the information on Tuesday, August 18, 2020.

The governor said that the three (3) new cases are products of the contact tracing conducted by health authorities on the island’s residents.

He said that out of the 81 persons tested, three (3) came out with a positive polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test result.

Currently, Malingin Island is placed under quarantine, the governor bared in his report.

With the new cases, Bohol has a total of 127 Covid cases since January 2020. About 15 of the 22 active cases in Bohol are deemed community transmission incidents in Malingin Island.
