Guv reports 2 new community transmission cases

Gov. Arthur Yap reports two (2) new community transmission cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid). One (1) patient is a resident of Malingin Island and another is a two-year-old child from Buenavista town.

The governor relayed the information on Tuesday evening, August 18, 2020.

The Malingin Island Covid patient is a product of contact tracing efforts.

Bien Unido mayor Rene Borenaga has been infotmed about the new Covid-positive case.

Moreover, the governor bared that the child was admitted Monday night, August 17, 2020 at the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) due to high fever.

Furthermore, the governor said that the child has no travel history.

The contact tracing activities related to the Buenavista patient have started as Mayor Dave Duallo has been informed about the new Covid-positive case.

With the new cases, the total active cases in Bohol have reached 26.
