Despite the coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic, the City Government of Tagbilaran has never stopped its infrastructure projects. Proof of this is the recent installation of modern street lights at Calceta Street.
Present during the installation of said lights were City Mayor John Geesnell Yap with Punong Barangay Nick Besas, Kagawad Grace Melgar, Kag. Diosnisio Cullano, Kag. Jaypee Lugod and Engr. Felito Franciso.
It can be recalled that previous to this, major thoroughfares were already lighted like Graham Avenue, CPG North to Brgy. Ubujan, Petron Dampas to National Food Authority (NFA), CPG East Avenue Caltex station to Bool-Baclayon Boundary, and Enerio Street to Dampas Elementary School.
Moreover, Yap has been focused in providing sound infrastructure since he assumed the top post in the City Government.
To date, out of the 90.71 kms. of road, which need to be concreted in Tagbilaran City, the City Engineering Office under the directive of Yap has concreted around 61.47 kilometers. This is aside from the drainage system, which was put in place in strategic areas.
Furthermore, Yap said that infrastructure projects will always be a priority for the City Government of Tagbilaran
