Province’s containerized PCR lab gets its L.T.O.

The provincial government-owned containerized polymerase chain reaction (PCR) laboratory gets its license to operate (LTO) from the Health Facilities and Services Regulatory Bureau of the Department of Health (DOH).

A copy of the LTO was sent to The Bohol Tribune by the Capitol information cluster head Kevin Damalerio, on Tuesday, August 25, 2020.

The LTO is the last piece of document that is needed for the containerized PCR laboratory to be operational.

Last Monday, August 24,2020, the containerized PCR laboratory was blessed with Fr. Val Pinlac officiating the rites.

Moreover, Nicolas Lutero III of the said agency signed the LTO for the containerized PCR laboratory.

The PCR laborarory is based at the compound of Bohol Medical Care Institute (BMCI) at barangay Dao, Tagbilaran City.

According to sources, the laboratory has the capacity of processing 24 samples per two (2) hours or almost 100 samples per eight (8) hour shift.
