Buenavista prepares for 2021 budget after AIP approval

Buenavista town mayor Dave Duallo reveals that the local government unit (LGU) is setting its sights in forging the town government’s 2021 budget following the approval of the annual investment plan (AIP).

Duallo made the revelation in a radio interview on Open Forum, on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.

The AIP is needed prior to the forging of the LGUs budget for next year. The AIP lists the various projects that the town government eyes. The AIP serves as the guide for the budget allocation for various projects eyed for implementation.

The Buenavista mayor says that the estimated budget would range from P140 to 150 million and he will make rhe budget call next week.

The budget will be based on the Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) of thr town plus other revenue sources.

Despite the pandemic, Duallo sees the possibility of a higher budget for the town. He said the 2020 budget of Buenavista LGU is about P140 million.
