Even with the pandemic, the people of Panglao, led by its mayor, Leonila Paredes Montero, choose not to dampen their zest for life as they go on stage for a virtual celebration of their town fiesta, the NEW NORMAL way. In the photo, you can see the members of the Lumad Panglaoanon Dance Troupe perform a number during the presentation of the Panglao Department of Education as part of the activities to celebrate the town fiesta and pay homage to its patron saint, St. Augustine of Hippo. The Dance of Life Program is part of the series of shows culminating with the Hudyaka sa Panglao festivities. The town government chooses to fight the Covid pandemic by honoring its patron saint through performances and shows, yet very careful not to violate any of the health protocols, particularly social distancing.
