The Tagbilaran Fire Station’s operations remain normal despite the fact that one of the staff members tested positive for coronavirus disease (Covid).
This is the pronouncement of Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) chief Marilyn Macatangay a day after one of the fire station’s fire fighter was reported to have contracted the disease. She made the pronouncement on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020.
Macatangay revealed that the close contacts of the fire fighter that tested positive have been identified.
It can be recalled that a BFP fire fighter from Corella town who works in Tagbilaran, tested positive for Covid, as reported by Mayor John Geesnell Yap II on Monday, August 31, 2020.
Macatangay aaid that the close contacts of the Covid-positive fire fighter have been advised to go into home isolation and will be subjected to swab tests on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020.
Macatangay said that the city fire station remains at the service of the public despite some of its personnel advised to undergo home quarantine.
