Tubigon records community transmission case

Gov. Arthur Yap in a statement reports that a person from Tubigon tests positive for coronavirus disease (Covid). The governor released the statement on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020 through the Capitol information cluster head Kevin Damalerio.

The patient from Tubigon is considered a community transmission case as he has no travel history and neither a locally stranded individual nor an overseas Filipino worker.

The governor said in the same statement, the latest Covid patient is a product of contact tracing. He is now isolated. The patient’s close contacts are also isolated.

Currently, Mayor William Jao has been informed about the latest community transmission case. Contact tracing activities involving 1st and 2nd generation contacts are being conducted with the Rural Health Unit of Tubigon leading the activities in cooperation with the Provincial Health Office (PHO), the Department of Health (DOH) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) contact tracing team.
