No more active case in Tagbilaran

City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II reports that, currently, the city currently has no active coronavirus disease (Covid) cases. The mayor made the announcement in his verified Facebook page on Sept. 9, 2020.

The mayor said the wife of a person from another town who is working in the city has tested negative for Covid.

Moreover, he divulged that the erstwhile active case in barangay Bool has already recovered from the infection. The person’s house companions also tested negative for the disease.

The city has a total of 42 confirmed Covid cases, and all of the cases have already recovered, with zero Covid-related deaths.

Despite having zero active cases, the mayor said there is no reason to be confident against Covid. The city government will continue on following the health and safety protocols until the pandemic ends.

He urged the people to wear face masks, and if possible, face shields; to observe social distancing and to practice frequent hand washing.
