Mia Ava gets ushered into the Christian world

The daughter of Panglao kagawad Aya Montero-Caindec and Miguel Caindec gets ushered into the Christian world, as she is baptized into the Roman Catholic religion.

The information about the christening of Mia Ava was revealed on August 27, 2020.

Montero-Caindec said a priest who is dear to the family officiated the baptism rites. The priest is identified in the councilor’s post as Fr. Joel Ruyeras. The Panglao councilor is thankful to her parents Mayor Leonila and Francisco Montero and her husband’s parents Land Transportation Office Central Visayas regional director Victor Emmanuel and Marites Caindec for their unconditional love and support.

She also thanked the God almighty for the graces, mercy, and the gift of family and friends.

Couple exchange marital vows before Mayor Montero

The couple Jeomil Flamiano Celino and Elvie Torreon Somaylo exchange marital vows before Panglao mayor Leonila Montero.

The civil ceremony, which took place at the office of Mayor Montero, happened on Sept. 2, 2020.

The newly married couple comes from Poblacion, Panglao, Bohol.

Panglao LSB meets to discuss key educ. issues

Panglao’s local school board (LSB) members meet to discuss key education issues, especially during this pandemic. The LSB meeting transpired on Sept. 3, 2020, at the Sangguniang Bayan session hall according to an information from the Municipality of Panglao released on Sept. 10, 2020.

The meeting were attended by Municipal Administrator Alejandro Arbutante, who represented Panglao mayor Leonila Montero, Cesaria Yecyec, division superintendent of Panglao, and Kag. Noel Hormachuelos, the chairman of the Committee on Education at the Panglao Sangguniang Bayan.

Also in the said meeting, were some professors, principals, and heads of offices of the local government unit.

The LSB is a special body created by the Local Government Code, tasked to determine the supplemental budget needed for the operation of public schools in a given area.
