A BOON TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT.

“When it rains, it pours”, the adage goes. Projects and blessings, and activities, and glad tidings, and so forth and so on, have been pouring into the municipality of Panglao despite the pandemic. And the Panglao “rains” have been dropping spontaneously and in torrents like manna from Heaven. One of these is the latest acquisition of a highly capable speedboat. The local government of Panglao has just acquired a new speedboat. Yes, a new highly qualified speedboat which is the first of two units for the town. In the photo, you can
see Panglao Mayor Leonila Montero (right) flashing a “thumbs-up” sign signifying her approval and satisfaction of the speed performance of the speedboat. Together with her, during the test ride, are personnel of the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office led by Lino Sumaylo.
The speedboats are going to be used in the implementation of environmental laws especially off the waters of Panglao town, the Tourism Hub of Bohol. Photo by Mary Ann Lagnason
