LGU-Panglao acquires new highly capable speedboat

The local government unit (LGU) of Panglao acquires a highly capable speedboat according to a report from the Municipality of Panglao released on Sept. 15, 2020.

Panglao Mayor Leonila Montero had a test ride of one of the speedboats procured by the LGU. During the test ride, she was with personnel from the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources (MENRO) led by the the officer-designate Lino Sumaylo.

The information from the Municipality of Panglao also revealed that the LGU procured two (2) speedboats and the first of two speedboats has been delivered.

The speedboat, which is designed for high speed and fast maneuvering, is meant to provide mobility for personnel tasked to protect the natural marine resources of the town including its seawaters and environment, the same information said.

These speedboats, procured by the LGU prior to the pandemic, will boost the strength and capability of LGU Panglao especially in the protection of island.

Montero, in a photograph, manifested her feeling of satisfaction on the performance of the speedboats.
