LGU Panglao execs gather for budget hearing.
The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Panglao in compliance with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) memorandum order, gather to conduct a budget hearing.
The meeting, which was attended by Mayor Leonila P. Montero, local chief executive of LGU-Panglao, transpired on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, at the Panglao Cultural Center.
Aside from the members of the local Sangguniang Bayan, the local Planning and Development Coordinator, Treasurer, Accountant, Budget Officer, and some other concerned officers were also in attendance.
Lino Sumaylo, LGU-Panglao Budget Officer, said that the next fiscal year will have a budget of roughly P 191 million, which is short by P 13 compared to this year’s budget. PISTB convenes for more tourism development.
The Panglao Island Sustainable Tourism Board (PISTB) chaired by Governor Arthur C. Yap convenes for a meeting on several issues.
The meeting held on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, was done at Bluewater, Panglao, one of the posh hotels located in the said municipality.
Mayor Leonila P. Montero of Panglao town was among the distinguished attendees in the said meeting with several heads of national agencies in the province, provincial offices, and municipal offices.

Eucharist Celebration (Holy Mass) marks the feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
A Holy Mass reportedly sponsored by Panglao Mayor Leonila P. Montero, was held at the Panglao Cultural Center on September 8, 2020.
Staff members of the Mayor’s Office collaboratively prepared everything for the Eucharistic Celebration. The preparations included the preparation of the altar, the assignment of the readers, and items like the Roman Missal, the Book of the Gospels, the Lectionary, the Hymnal/Missalette, the offerers, among others.
The mass was attended generally by LGU-Panglao employees who are Roman Catholics.

PCG and LGU Panglao meet for logistical support
Officers of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) from the Municipality of Panglao (mainland) and Balicasag Sub-stations meet to discuss their needs for some logistical support from the local government unit (LGU).
The Tuesday meeting which was facilitated by Mayor Leonila P. Montero, was attended by the following: Kag. Dennis Hora, Sangguniang Bayan-Panglao committee chair on communication and transportation; Danny Reyes, Municipal Transportation Officer; and Bernardito Alturas, Panglao-Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer.
