Gov. Arthur Yap reports that there are four (4) new coronavirus disease (Covid) recorded here following the release of a notice from the Bohol polymerase chain reaction (PCR) containerized laboratory.
The report by the governor was released to the media on Sept 20, 2020 through Kevin Damalerio, the Capitol information cluster head.
The governor said that one (1) locally stranded individual (LSI) from Carmen, one (1) LSI from Bien Unido, one (1) resident from San Miguel and one (1) resident from Talibon tested positive for Covid.
The patients from San Miguel and Talibon didn’t have any travel history, the governor said in his report.
Moreover, the cases from San Miguel and Talibon are products of contact tracing activities in the said towns.
All of the Covid-positive patients that turned out to be positive are already isolated, the governor added.
Furthermore, the governor said that contact tracing activities involving 1st and 2nd generation contacts have started with teams from the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of the concerned towns, the Provincial Health Office and the Department of Health leading the activities.
