Tubigon records 10 new Covid cases


The town of Tubigon records 10 new Coronavirus disease (Covid) based on the report released by the Municipal Inter Agency Task Force (MIATF).

The report was released on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020, through the official Facebook page of the Municipality of Tubigon.

According to the report, there are 31 active cases in the town and a total of 43 confirmed Covid cases.

Furthermore, the report says, “All 31 active cases identified as community transmission cases are already isolated at the isolation facilities.”

The same report says all 10 new cases are products of the targeted mass testing conducted on Sept. 24, 2020. There were 337 individuals in the town who submitted themselves to reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test.

Moreover, the granular lockdown in barangay Cabulijan has been lifted by the MIATF. Meantime, granular lockdowns are implementeed in the following areas: purok 2, 3, 4 & 5 in Pooc Occidental, 2 houses in Potohan, a house in Cahayag, purok 4 in Pinayagan Norte, a house in Pinayagan Sur, a house in Guiwanon, a house in Panadtaran, two (2) houses in Pooc Oriental and three (3) houses in Centro.

The report from the MIATF says a granular lockdown means identifying specific or smaller areas experiencing spikes in Covid cases and restricting the movement of people.

The first and second generation close contacts of active and suspect cases are now under quarantine for 14 days, the report bares.
