The medical center chief of Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) reveals that one (1) medical worker in the said medical facility tests positive for Coronavirus disease (Covid).
The information was released to the public on Oct. 1, 2020 via a public statement released on the hospital’s official Facebook page.
In a statement, medical center chief Dr. Mutya Kismet Macuno, confirmed the news that a medical worker tested positive via the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
The staff is already isolated and now under close monitoring in an isolation facility located in the said hospital, Macuno said in the same statement.
She added that contact tracing and screening procedures are being conducted.
Moreover, Macuno assured the public that the hospital continues to maintain a safe working environment for all healthcare workers, especially those working at the Covid wing of the hospital.
Macuno ended her statement by saying that the hospital management shall issue regular updates regarding the case.
