Gov. Arthur Yap reveals that he and the Bohol mayors have agreed on an entry protocol to be applied to authorized persons outside residence (APOR).
The Capitol media released the information about the development in a statement on Oct. 2, 2020.
The governor said that the protocol for the entry of APOR into Bohol is consistent with the opinion of the Department of Health (DOH)-7 chief pathologist and spokesperson for Coronavirus disease (Covid) Dr. Mary Jean Loreche.
To prevent virus transmission coming from APOR, the province is adopting protocols as follows.
- There should be proper coordination of the arriving APOR with the receiving local government unit (LGU) /office thru a letter/email or direct communication by both parties. The said communication should include the names, planned date of arrival, duration and purpose of the said visit.
- The arriving APOR shall follow the health protocols set by the receiving LGU/office throughout the duration of their stay.
- The arriving APOR shall also comply with the Bohol Medical Interagency Task Force protocols:
a. Medical certificate from a certified physician.
b. Must have COVID 19 (polymerase chain reaction) PCR negative test result 48 hours prior to travel.
c. All individuals should be asymptomatic (no fever, no respiratory symptoms) upon entry. - For arriving APOR with less than 5 days of stay in Bohol they may not undergo quarantine.
- For APOR with more than 5 days of stay they will be quarantined and a PCR test shall be conducted 5 days from the date of arrival. If PCR test yielded negative they can be released from the quarantine facility to proceed to their work purpose.
- Transport from the port of entry shall be coordinated with the receiving LGU/office that will accompany the pick-up vehicle from the entry port directly to their LGU approved quarantine facility.
- Strict transportation protocols must be observed, proper (personal protective equipment) PPE for extraction team and wearing of mask, face shield, physical distancing and hand hygiene for the arriving APOR.
- The arriving APOR will only be allowed to stay for the maximum duration of the purpose of their visit.
- They are NOT permitted to go anywhere other than the place specified for the purpose of their visit.
- They will be immediately transported back to the port of departure once they have complied or fulfilled the purpose of their visit.
