Guv visits Clarin to distribute rice, contact tracing cards
Gov. Arthur Yap distributes rice and contact tracing cards to residents of Clarin. He also helped distribute livelihood kits to the beneficiaries of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Livelihood Seeding Program-Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB), according to a report released on Monday, Oct. 12, 2020 from PRIMER headed by Kevin Damalerio. .
The same report said that the governor distributed eight (8) kilos of premium rice and Bohol Family Card to the families in barangays Tangaran and Cabog and to the families in Bonbon, Caluwasan, and Villaflor in Clarin town.
The governor joined the DTI-Bohol team, led by DTI Provincial Director Maria Soledad Balistoy, in distributing 25 negosyo livelihood kits to qualified MSME beneficiaries in 16 barangays under the Livelihood Seeding Program-Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) program. The recipients are from barangays Candajec, Cabog, Poblacion Norte, Tangaran, Bogtongbod, Poblacion Centro, Poblacion Sur, Danahao, Villaflor, Cantoyoc, Caluwasan, Tubod, Bontod, Nahawan, Lajog, and Comaang.
Moreover, Yap and the DTI team provided 500 face shields to some Clarin residents during the activity.
Catigbian folks get rice, contact tracing cards
The story of Gov. Arthur Yap’s visit to Catigbian finds the provincial chief executive in a happy mood as he participated in the distribution of rice and contact tracing cards to the families of 11 barangays in the said town on Oct. 13, 2020, according to a report by the Capitol media.
The governor’s first stop was in barangay Bongbong followed by his visit to the of barangays Ambuan, and Libertad Sur for the same purpose.
Moreover, the governor met the families from barangays Mantacida, Causwagan Norte, Triple Union, and Kang-iras in Mantacida, in his second stop.
The governor’s third stop was in Hagbuaya for the families from the said barangay and those from Mahayag Sur, Mahayag Norte, and Bagtic.
In Catigbian, Gov. Arthur Yap also turned over the provincial government’s assistance of a check worth P1 million, to Catigbian Mayor Elizabeth Mandin for the municipality’s waterworks project.

Guv meets San Isidro folks, distributes rice, contact tracing cards
Gov. Arthur Yap is on the road anew, this time, for his visit to the town of San Isidro town, to distribute rice packs, and contact tracing cards. This activitiy was done by the governor on Oct. 13, 2020.
In this town, the governor told the people that Bohol is about to start the gradual reopening of tourism amid the Coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic and the contact tracing system is important for the containment of community transmissions.
The governor continued by saying that the contact tracing system complements the testing capability of the province now that Bohol has two (2) operational polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing laboratories stationed in Tagbilaran City.
The governor said that he always sees it fit for him to personally explain to town residents how the contact tracing cards work and how these should be used.
In San Isidro, the governor distributed rice and contact tracing cards to the families in barangays Caimbang, Abehilan, Baunos, Cansague Norte, Cambansag, Poblacion, Candungao, Masonoy, Causwagan Sur, Cabanugan and Baryong Daan.

At least 15 beneficiaries from barangays Abehilan, Cambansag and Causwagan receive Negosyo Kits worth P6,000 each including 100 pieces of face shields from DTI.

Candijay, Mabini displaced workers get help from prov’l gov’t
Gov. Arthur Yap drops by the towns of Candijay and Mabini on Oct. 11, 2020 to distribute the rice support to the displaced tourism-related workers of the said towns, information from Capitol Media says.
In Candijay, Yap and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO team, led by Carmelita Tecson, deliver 1,207 rice packs at 10 kilos each rice pack for displaced workers in the tourism industry.
In Mabini, the team from the provincial government distributed a pack of 10 kilos of rice to a driver of Erlykray Tourist Bus Transport, one of the identified beneficiary of the rice assistance from the provincial government.
DTI Bohol distributes livelihood kits to 2nd batch of beneficiaries in 4 towns
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) of Bohol distributes livelihood kits to the second batch of qualified beneficiaries in four (4) towns, the Micro,Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), under its Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB). This is according to a report from the agency sent to The Bohol Tribune.
The LSP-NSB program is the agency’s commitment to uplift the economic plight of micro-entrepreneurs under the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act, the same report adds.
The turnover and distribution of the livelihood kits was done in the towns of Sierra Bullones and Carmen on October 10, 2020 and in Candijay and Mabini on October 11, 2020.
Each beneficiary of the program received P6,000 worth of vouchers or other inventories to supplant the requirements of their businesses, which are mostly affected by the Coronavirus disease pandemic.
Prior to the distribution, DTI Bohol Business Counselors, in coordination with the Local Government Units, conducted the Negosyo Caravans in the identified barangays to announce the distribution of the livelihood kits to the beneficiaries in the said areas.
Led by DTI Bohol Provincial Director Maria Soledad L. Balistoy, the agency also distributed 100 face shields per barangay identified under this year’s NSB-LSP Program.
Gov. Arthur Yap was also present during the turnover programs together with officials from the Municipal Government of the said towns.
It may be recalled that the first round of the livelihood kits distribution involved 480 MSMEs coming from 99 barangays. For this batch, DTI will be handing over a total of 1,065 livelihood kits and 213,000 face shields covering 213 barangays in the entire province of Bohol. (KACalumba –DTI Bohol)
