The centerpiece in the City Hall Grounds is finally completed, gets unveiled and now open for the enjoyment of the public.
The Musical Dancing Fountain along with the Advent Wreath, Nativity Scene, and the Tagbilaran City Hall Park had its blessing on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, led by City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II together with other city and provincial dignitaries, according to a report from the City Media Bureau.
Despite the threat of the Coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic, the programs and projects in the City Government of Tagbilaran continue.
Mayor Yap said that “we need to look forward to the future and not dwell on the difficulties of the past.”
He continued by saying, “We may have been delayed by the challenges brought about by the threat of Covid but we won’t stop achieving our targets. It’s not important what have happened in the past, the important thing is where are we heading. We will keep our priorities in focus”, Yap said.
The City Government Building which is a prominent landmark in the city will surely attracts more visitors.
The Musical Dancing Fountain is open for public viewing from Tuesday to Sunday, 7 to 8 pm.
The Tagbilaran City Hall Park which is a joint project of the City Government and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) will be open daily to the public from 6 to 9 pm.
The public is strongly advised to observe strict health protocols, such as the wearing of face masks and physical distancing.
Moreover, Mayor Yap is optimistic that these new scenic areas in the city can provide the necessary breather to the public as we bravely face the pandemic, the report concludes.
