Balilihan police chief discusses plans for All Saints Day, All Souls Day
Balilihan Chief of Police Jefrin Eulogio discusses with Balilihan Mayor Pureza Chatto the plans for All Souls and All Saints Day in a meeting on Oct. 13, 2020. The town government releases an advisory to the public about the forthcoming events.
Mayor Chatto said she heeds the order of Gov. Arthur Yap in Memorandum Circular 2020 015, where all cemeteries, public and private, shall be closed to visitors on October 29, 2020 to November 4, 2020.
The Balilihan Catholic Cemetery allows a maximum of 100 visitors at a time, the mayor said.

35 entrepreneurs receive assistance from DTI Livelihood Seeding Program
These vouchers will be used to purchase items/goods to augment their business in any of the Alturas grocery stores and supermarkets.
Present during the turnover were Jerome Gabin and Kent Calumba, both of DTI, Mayor Chatto said.
Mayor Chatto thanks Gov. Arthur Yap, 1st District Congressman Edgar Chatto and DTI Provincial Director Maria Solidad Balistoy for the help extended to the entrepreneurs of the town.
Moreover, boxes of face shields were likewise turned over to the seven (7) barangays of Magsija, Hanopol Este, Datag Sur, Tagustusan, Boyog Norte and Cantalid through their respective barangay captains. Each barangay is given 100 pieces of face shields, the mayor said.

The beneficiaries, five (5) each from every barangay, come from Magsija, Hanopol Este, Tagustusan, Datag Sur, Cantalid, Sagasa and Boyog Norte in Balilihan who were adversely affected by the impact of the Coronavirus disease (Covid), Doing the good deed aby the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), according to Mayor Pureza Chatto.
Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) enumerators assigned in Balilihan pay a courtesy call to Mayor Pureza Chatto. As soon as their needed materials would be available, they will be going to the different barangays to do the pre-registration of 3444 household heads for the Philippine ID System.

One more household adult member will be added per household in the second phase and so on until everyone in the community will have his/her ID.
