BOOSTING INB’S FISHERY SECTOR. teamINABANGA inaugurates and turns over two (2) livelihood projects in one day. Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Member representing Mayor Roygie Jumamoy together with Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Integrated Natural Resources and Environmental Management Project (DENR-INREMP) led by Dr. Charlie Fabre (photo 1) inaugurates the oyster farm in Bugang, Inabanga. The inauguration, done on October 12, 2020, is a great manifestation of the progress. Photo 2 shows the oyster farm being turned over to the Peoples‘ Organization of Bugang Farmers and Fishermen Association (BUFFA) led by its President Joel Rotoras. Later on that day of October 12, the group, as shown in photo 3, proceeded turnover of three (3) fish cages in Ondol, Inabanga to the Nagkahiusang Pundok sa Mananagat nga Mag-amping sa Kinaiyahan (NPMMK) (photo 4) led by its President Enting Aparre. Witnessing the events are INREMP INaBanga Focal Person Jesus Abella, INREMP Deputy President Manager Efren Apalisok, INREMP Provincial Focal Person Candido Salces,Legal Defense and Assistance Project coordinator (LEDAP) Jess Bernasor, Technical Extension Officer Romeo Teruel, Information and Education Communicarions (IEC) Specialist Mabel Logroño, teamINABANGA SB Council, barangay officials and Rev. Fr. Lloyd Lester Liwagon does the blessing. Mayor Roygie expresses her gratitude to DENR-INREMP for the project aims to uplift the economic well-beings of target beneficiaries. DEVELOPING THE YOUTH SECTOR
. Mayor Roygie Jumamoy (photo 1) and Inabanga Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federated President Jhason Rey Gucor (photo 2) attend via video conferencing the Convergence Consultation for Tana, a Youth Project (photo 3). This took place on October 15, 2020. The virtual meeting is a consortium project of the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) led by Undersecretary Paterna M. Ruiz, Youthlead Philippines, Inc. Founder and Chair Metodio B. Maraguinot Jr. and the Office of the Second Congressional District of Bohol headed by Congressman Aris Aumentado including Local Youth Development Officers (photo 4) from the municipalities of Bohol. The project is a youth convergent action that focuses on two overarching development platforms in combating poverty – the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) and Gender-Responsive Rural Development (GRRD). It targets to engage underrepresented youth in rural areas and organized youth belonging to youth organizations all over Bohol. It further aims to create an ecosystem of support that encourages and strengthens collaborations between youth, national agencies, local and civil society organizations on the SDG’s and GRRD.
