LGU-LOON HOSTS CLEC CLUSTER 2 MEETING. Coastal Law Enforcement Council (CLEC) Cluster 2 Chairperson and Loon Municipal Mayor Elvi Peter L. Relampagos (top photo, center) delivers an inspiring message as he welcomes all participants to the regular meeting of the Coastal Law Enforcement Council (CLEC) Cluster 2 composed of the municipalities of Cortes, Maribojoc, Loon and Calape held at the local government unit (LGU)-Loon Activity Center on October 8, 2020. With Mayor Relampagos in the foreground are Loon Municipal Police Station officer-in-chief (OIC) Chief of Police Maj. Manuta delivers a short message on the importance of the preservation and protection of the municipal seawaters. The meeting tackle and discussed the recent developments affecting the council in the enforcement of national and local coastal laws and ordinances and continued vigilance in the preservation of marine resources and protection of municipal waters, especially in the new normal conditions brought about by the Coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic. Attendees in the meeting included Maribojoc Vice Mayor Emilio J. Castilla; Loon SB Secretary Fidelino P. Cotitico, representing Loon Vice Mayor Lloyd Peter M. Lopez, MD; top officers from the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) headed by Deputy Provincial Director for Operations Lt. Col Rey Tiempo; officers and staff of the Bohol Environment Management Office (BEMO) led by Coastal Resource Management (CRM) unit head Maria Villa Pelindingue; Epifanio Gultia Jr. of Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR)-Tagbilaran; SB Members, municipal agriculturists, Municipal Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council (MFARMC) chairman and the Police Environmental Desk Officers (PEDOs) of Cortes, Maribococ, Loon and Calape.
