MENRO gets orders to test 2nd Panglao speedboat

Lino Sumaylo (see photo), Panglao’s Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer (MENRO)-designate and his people will be performing a thorough routine check of the 2nd newly delivered brand new speedboat as ordered by Panglao Mayor Nila Montero This is a report received by The Bohol Tribune from the Municipality of Panglao.

The newest “speedboat,” which was delivered on Oct. 13, 2020, is scheduled for an endurance test to check the seacraft’s performance, durability, and stability when subjected to long-distance travel.

Montero unravels Christmas Belen tilt

Another report from LGU Panglao says that Panglao Mayor Leonila P. Montero (facing camera) joyfully discusses the details of the mechanics of the Christmas Belen Contest, 020.

Mayor Montero, together with the rest of the barangay captains of the town of Panglao, conceptualized the mechanics of the competition including the manner the competition will be conducted, especially the Christmas Belen contest.

The competition independent committee members, who are Junary Cañabano, Culture and Arts Head; Leigh Senica, Municipal Tourism Head; and Deo Guden, Executive Assistant on Barangay Affairs, are tasked to oversee the entire conduct of the competition.

The tilt will be launched simultaneous with the ceremonial lighting of the Christmas Lanterns (parols) at the Panglao Town Plaza this coming November 21, 2020.

Representatives from various councils in Panglao meet

Representatives from the various councils of the Municipality of Panglao gather for the periodic Joint Councils Coordination Meeting on Oct. 13, 2020 at the Panglao Cultural Center, a report from the Municipality of Panglao says.

SB, Panglao execs discuss Tourism Master Plan

The Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members, including Vice Mayor Brian Velasco, discuss with Panglao Mayor Leonila Montero and other members of the local government unit’s (LGU) executive branch the Tourism Master Plan of the town during a special meeting on Oct. 9, 2020 between the two (2) branches of the LGU, Other members of the LGU who also attended the meeting were: Leigh Senica, Panglao Tourism Officer-designate, and Jairus Fuderanan, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator. Chatto, DPWH reveal future infra proj. for Panglao

First district representative Edgar Chatto and key representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reveal to Panglao Mayor Leonila Montero information about infrastructure projects that will be implemented in the town.

Mayor Montero, learned about this information during a meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020, She expressed her deep appreciation upon hearing about the good news from the first district congressmen and personalities from the DPWH.
