3rd district gears for rise of town colleges
In line with Congresswoman Alexie Tutor’s advocacy of valuing the importance of tertiary education, some third district municipalities are looking forward to the opening of colleges in their own towns.
Looking to establish their own colleges are the towns of Loboc, Alicia , Guindulman, and Lila.
On October 12, 2020, Tutor inducted the members of the Board of Trustees of Colegio de Loboc, led by Mayor Leon Calipusan.
The following day, the local government unit (LGU) of Alicia under the administration of Mayor Dong Torres III & Vice Mayor Marnilou Ayuban conducted the preliminary orientation & consultation of the establlishment of Alicia College of Technology. This orientation/consultation activity was participated in by the Alicia Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members & the members of the Board of Trustees.
Moreover, recently, Mayor Arturo Jed Piollo of Lila also bared that the said town is eyeing on the establishment of a municipal college.
To recall, in July 2020, a ground breaking ceremony was held for the Guindulman Municipal College.
Cong. Tutor truly appreciates the efforts and initiatives made by said municipalities’ local administrations.
In relation to the initiatives, the 3rd Congressional Office pledges its support in realizing their visions especially for the construction of the school building.

Tutor attends meeting to discuss the protection of municipal waters
Cong. Alexie Tutor attended a consultative meeting on the protection of municipal waters in the 3rd district of Bohol on October 14,2020 held at the Anda Pearl Premier Resort, barangay Virgen, Anda. This is according to an information from the Office of the Third District Congresswoman.
The lady representative emphasized the importance of strengthening the security of municipal waters. She cited an example of the illegal entry of locally stranded individuals (LSIs).
According to the congresswoman, an LSI commits an illegal entry violation when he/she enters the province without possessing the right documents and without coordinating with the accepting local government unit (LGU) concerned.
As she attends the meeting, she aims to get ideas from attendees on how to bolster the security of municipal waters, the same information said.
