Presidential spokesman Harry Roque advises the parents who are having problems with modules to tap the teachers for help.
This was his advise to parents when asked by The Bohol Tribune during the press conference held at Hennan Resort on Oct. 29, 2020.
Roque said that due to the Coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic, the method of teaching has changed into the so-called blended learning.
Blended learning means that the delivery of lessons will be done via online or through modules.
As soon as the first week of classes opened for this school year, a good number of parents and guardians aired their difficulties in handling the modules as they try to facilitate the learning of the learners.
Roque said that the teachers are still available to help the parents even if face-to-face learning is not allowed due to the Covid crisis.
However, the presidential spokesman did not give specifics on how the parents can tap the teachers to provide help to the former.
Some parents were told that they can reach out to the teachers for some help, but the experiences of some parents who expressed their situation to The Bohol Tribune are less than being favorable and comfortable.
Moreover, more parents are having difficulty balancing time between their work and teaching the kids.
Some parents are also raising the issue of blatant errors found in some modules.
In a recent radio interview, first district Rep. Edgar Chatto said he is going to raise the matter with education authorities especially on how to report the errors found in the modules.
