UB prexy bags PACU sec., BOT member posts

University of Bohol (UB) President Dr. Victoriano B. Tirol, III, gets elected as Corporate Secretary and member of the Board of Trustee for the term 2020-2022, of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU) during PACU’s First Virtual Annual General Assembly and Elections.

The election was held on September 26, 2020, via Zoom teleconference, a report coming from UB said and was sent to The Bohol Tribune yesterday, Nov. 7, 2020.

It can be recalled that Dr. Tirol was first elected as a PACU Board of Trustee (BOT) representing the Visayas in 2018.

The new set of officers of PACU for 2020-2022 is composed of, Anthony Jose M. Tamayo (University of Perpetual Help) – President, Engr. Bernard Nicolas E. Villamor (Cebu Institute of Technology – University) – 1st Vice President, Marco Alfredo M. Benitez (Philippine Women’s University) – 2nd Vice President, Dr. Victoriano B. Tirol, III (University of Bohol) – Secretary, and. Laurice Faye R. Juarez (Capitol University) –Treasurer.

Moreover, the regional vice presidents are, Dr. Caroline Marian S. Enriquez (Our Lady of Fatima University of – NCR, Dr. Patricia Bustos-Lagunda (Baliuag University) – Luzon, Atty. Augusto W. Go (University of Cebu) – Visayas, and Dr. Guillermo P. Torres, Jr. (University of Mindanao) – Mindanao.

The current PACU leadership has taken a guided vigilant and proactive stance in matters involving future education policies affecting all its member schools and their respective students. These are the points of emphasis in the organization for the next two years, the report from UB adds.

Despite the immense challenges posed by the Coronavirus disease (Covid), PACU is bent on fulfilling the overall vision of transformative private education in a deregulated environment.

Furthermore, PACU’s member schools, including UB, are among those at the forefront of ushering in this new age of learning while displaying private education’s adaptability and resilience in this challenging time.
