SSS management commits to correct alleged anomaly on priority number distribution

The management of the Tagbilaran branch of the Social Security System (SSS) commits to correct the seeming anomaly occurring in the distribution of priority numbers following a dialogue over the radio program Open Forum.

An issue was brought into the light, discussed and resolved during the program on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 with program hosts Ardy Batoy and Dave Albarado.

The issue is about the alleged anomaly concerning the distribution of priority numbers for SSS clients seeking to transact business with the said agency.

Dr. Corazon Banluta-Batoy aired her observation that apparently a person who did not fall in line to get a priority number was able to get one.

She observed that apparently the one who obtained a priority number without observing the protocol, acquired the number from the duty guard.

Upon learning of the alleged anomaly, SSS Tagbilaran branch officer-in-charge Dioscoro Madanguit confronted and reprimanded the guard for letting a person, who did not follow the process, acquire a priority number.

Moving forward, Madanguit said that the incident provides an opportunity for the SSS to fine tune its processes especially in accepting certain transactions in the agency.

Moreover, the SSS management will determine if there wete other similar instances of the anomaly in the past.

Moreover, Madanguit said he will be suggesting to top-level management to have more tellers to accept the payment transactions from clients. At certain times, only one (1) cashier is present to accept payments due to the scaling down of the number of personnel due to the pandemic.
