The chief of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) bares that an inspection team has been dispatched to probe the alleged issue that rice supplies provided by the provincial government are emitting bad odor.
She bared the development in a radio interview on Nov. 25, 2020 over Newsmakers ug Uban Pa hosted by Ardy Araneta-Batoy and Dave Albarado.
PSWDO head Carmelita Tecson revealed that a team composed of members from the said agency and the Provincial Health Office (PHO) are on a mission to probe the allegations that the rice supplies provided for the displaced tourism workers in Loboc are of low quality.
She said the team will determine the state of the rice supplies.
Furthermore, the PSWDO chief said that the provincial government will replace the rice stocks that have gone bad only if there are recipients who have yet to receive their rice support coming from the provincial government.
The issue stems from the insinuations that the rice supplies provided by the provincial government to be distributed to displaced tourism workers have a foul odor and seemingly unfit for human consumption.
Loboc mayor Leon Calipusan aired the allegations regarding the condition of the rice on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020.
