If you are interested in Freemasonry, these are the two kinds of qualifications:
Here are the three Internal Qualifications. Those qualifications which refer to a condition known only to yourself: 1. That you apply for membership out of your own free and voluntary will; 2. That you have no mercenary motives, just pure love for service and camaraderie; and 3. Willingness to submit to the rules and practices of the Brotherhood.
This knowledge can only come from your own statements which are included in the preliminary questions before you go through the process of initiation.
The External Qualifications are four, namely: 1. Moral personality. You must not have committed any crime against persons, property or the State; 2. Proper mental state. You must be intelligent and willing to learn; 3. Having a belief in the Supreme Being. Atheists need not apply. All who do not believe in God are not qualified; and 4. You must conform to the government of the country in which you live.
