Balilihan bares recent events in town

FOR THE LOVE OF NATURE. A new place in Balilihan will become a haven for people who love nature and those who love to bask in the beauty of nature. A new decorticating machine from Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Bohol is given to Cainoy People’s Organization which is led by Barangay Kagawad Vicente Terec as part of the soon to be launched Baliliihan Coconut Village. 

The reorganization meeting of the BAWOD (Balilihan Women for Development) identifying the managers of the four local government unit (LGU) assisted livelihood projects namely banana chips, squash noodles, papaya pickles and processed meat. In the meeting it is also identified who will be the purchasing officer and marketing officer. Barangay Captain Doloy Cacho is the president of the organization. Other officers are: Anecita Orig – Vice President; Restituta Cabal – Treasurer; Segundina Ganancial – Secretary; and Lisa Danila-Auditor. BAWOD will soon occupy the Balilihan Livelihood Processing Center at the back of the Balilihan Presidencia. The center is a building worth P5 million and constructed with the support of DIWA partylist.

Balilihan Mayor Pureza Chatto consults the members of the Rural Health Unit, Philippine National Police, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the focal person for locally stranded individual about a draft  executive order of the mayor  based on  Gov. Arthur Yap’s Executive Order No. 54 series 2020 on the revised guidelines on the management of LSIs, returning overseas Filipinos (ROF), overseas Filipino workers (OFW) and authorized persons outside residence (APOR) and soliciting comments before finalizing the draft so that it can be implemented.
