CANDIJAY team wins World Robotics award

A team the from Candijay Science High School (CANDISCI) wins third place in the Open
Category of the World Robotics Organization Tournament Canada 2020.

The competition transpired on Nov. 12-17, 2020, according to a report from the office of
Cong. Kristine Alexie Tutor. Tutor said that she is proud of what the team, known as
RoBoholics Team Rockets, has achieved.

The team is composed of members Mary Haidee Makinano-Grade 8, Trisha Belle Olaivar-
Grade 7, and Juno Ceasar Escatron-Grade 7. They are students of CANDISCI and
competed against 77 other countries, the report said.

Team Rockets’ coaches are Thata Celeres and Carmelita Curtivo, the same report said. In
her Facebook post, Celeres said that she is very thankful to Tutor and husband Candijay
Mayor Christopher Tutor for their support to the team. 

For her part, Tutor expressed her warm congratulations to the team and said that she is
very proud of their achievement. Moreover, the lady solon assured continued support to the
robotics prodigies not just in the town of Candijay but throughout her district.
