The provincial government of Bohol (PGBh) donates three (3) units glass bottom flatboats to Buenavista local government unit (LGU), barangay Asinan, and a fisherfolk group.
Buenavista mayor Dave Duallo revealed information about the blessing and turnover of the flatboats via a Facebook post on Monday, Nov. 22, 2020.
The flatboats were given to the LGU, the barangay government of Asinan and the Nagkahiusang Mananagat sa Asinan.
The PGBh’s donation is part of the marine protected area (MPA) support project for Danajon Bank.
Duallo thanked Gov. Arthur Yap, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist officer-in-charge Larry Pamugas, and the Philippine Rural Development Project for the donation, which will benefit the town’s fishery development programs.
Earlier, the PGBh also donated flatboats to the towns of Ubay and Pres. Carlos P. Garcia to be used in their respective MPA.
