Two (2) mild quakes hit Panglao, one measuring magnitude 1.9 and the other measures magnitude 2.2, according to the Philippine institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
The two mild quakes occured early Friday morning, the same report from the PHIVOLCS website adds.
The first quake, measuring magnitude 1.9, jolted Dauis town, at 2:20 am.
The Dauis quake is tectonic of origin with a depth of 34 kilometers (km).
On the other hand, a 2.2-magnitude quake rocked Panglao town at around 2:42 am.
The Panglao town quake is shallower compared to the Dauis temblor with a depth of only one km.
Moreover, damage and aftershocks are not expected as a result of the 2 earthquakes, the PHIVOLCS reports.
