Balilihan announces news around town

Members of the Balilihan Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, contact tracers from the Department of the Interior and Local Government and municipal nurses are working overtime conducting contact tracing activities. They are tracing first generation contacts of confirmed Coronavirus disease (Covid) patients of the said town.

Balilihan mayor Pureza Chatto engages in an online presentation of proposed online billing and payment for the town’s waterworks system.

The Barangay Secretaries and Barangay Sanguniang Kabataan members attend the training workshop on Barangay E-System and Tools (BEST) by DOST. BEST is a governance solution that provides a systematic approach in managing residents profile, judicial information and enables document generation for effective planning and monitoring at the barangay level. The program was supposedly internet-based but has been redesigned to be used even without an internet connection. Barangay San Roque, Balilihan Barangay Captain Ramilo P. Hapay (left) engages with  Mayor Pureza Chatto (right) as the latter inspects the twining and weaving machines from Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) for a farmer’s organization of the said town. The machines are part of the preparation for the launching of the Balilihan Coconut Village.
