UBians place 3rd in nat’l youth video tilt

Two (2) students from the University of Bohol (UB) Victoriano B. Tirol-Advanced Learning Center (VDT-ALC) emerge as third place winners of the GLIMPSE Video Competition in the 17th National Youth Congress (NYC 17), according to a report from the University.

The same report says Claire Michelle Pusta and Jundelle Arcoyo, Grade 12 students of  UB VDT-ALC participated in the said competition that was held on Nov. 28 to 29, 2020.

The two UB VDT-ALC senior high school students impressed the judges with their entry titled “Behold Bohol.”

Pusta and Arcoyo’s video sought to debunk the misconception that Bohol’s tourism sector can longer recover due to the current pandemic.

The National Youth Congress is an annual convention aiming to provide high school students with a practical introduction to economics and help the students understand the power of economic analysis in clarifying relevant issues in the society.

This year’s congress saw 45 participating schools and held virtually due to the pandemic. (Elijah L. Sales/Meccah R. Salinasal)
