Dagohoy man gets electrocuted, dies

A man from Dagohoy is reportedly electrocuted and is dead, according to a police report.

The report says the incident happened on Dec. 6, 2020 in barangay Caluasan, Dagohoy.

The police report adds that the victim is identified as Josie Avenido, 48, of barangay Caluasan, Dagohoy town.

According to the same report, a concerned citizen reported to the police that a person has been electrocuted. A team from the local police station, together with personnel from the Dagohoy Emergency Rescue Team, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Bohol Electric Cooperative 2 responded to the report and tried to revive the unresponsive victim to no avail.

Initial investigations revealed that the man was on top of the roof of the house of a certain Franklin Ampoloquio to fix a leak.

However, while the man was working on the leak on the roof, reportedly, he accidentally hit a live wire causing him to get electrocuted.

Dagohoy’s Municipal Health Officer Hermogenes Ricafort Jr. examined the body of the victim and concluded that the latter died after he was electrocuted.
