Mayor Sumaylo with Ms. Sam de la Peña in the office of Sen. Bong Go is spearheading efforts to provide assistance to pandemic-impacted media workers of Bohol

Dauis mayor Marietta Sumaylo spearheads the project with the office of Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go to extend assistance to pandemic-impacted media workers in Bohol.

The idea to help the pandemic-impacted media workers was hatched in an episode of Newsmakers ug Uban Pa on Dec. 9, 2020 hosted by Ardy Araneta-Batoy.

Batoy intimated to Mayor Sumaylo and the staff member of the office of Sen. Go the fact that media people are also suffering from the effects of the pandemic now.

For her part. dela Peña said that the office of Sen. Go is open to extend assistance to media workers who are affected by the pandemic.

Moreover, Go with the assistance of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) extended cash assistance to displaced workers and persons with disability (PWD) in the town of Dauis and Cortes on Wednesday.

The staff of Sen. Go with the DSWD will proceed to Tubigon and Panglao later this week to distribute cash assistance of P3,000 per beneficiary.

During the interview, dela Peña said the office of Sen. Go is more than willing to provide assistance to the members of the Bohol media impacted by the economic downturn in relation to the pandemic.
