Anda unfolds report on town progress

A huge signpost is mounted right at the Quinale Beach Bar spelling the name of the town of Anda. The town is one of the stops of national tourism authorities in the province of of Bohol. 

Anda town re-opens its doors to tourists
Anda Mayor Metodio Amper reveals that his town is now open to tourists.
He said that the town has opened the Quinale Beach Bar, which is a tourist spot located at the Poblacion area.
The opening of the said beach bar signals the town’s efforta to restart the tourism industry.
He made the revelation in a radio interview over Newsmakers ug Uban Paon Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 hosted by Ardy and Chandymar Araneta Batoy.
Amper said that prior to the town’s re-opening to tourism, the local government unit (LGU) asked permission from the provincial government about the matter. 
He even invited personnel from the Bohol Tourism Office (BTO) headed by Josephine Cabarrus to assess the preparedness of the town in re-opening the tourism industry.  The tourism industry in the said town started to reopen its tourism doors to people at least a couple of months ago, the mayor said during the radio interview.
He also revealed that a group of 40 persons from the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) together with a team from the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA) visited Anda on Dec. 9, 2020.
The mayor added that the visit provided hope to the Andahanons that the town’s tourism industry will experience a resurgence to help the people in the said place recover from the economic situation.
The mayor pointed out the guidelines provided to the LGU for the visiting tourism stakeholders.
The Anda mayor also said that the town is open for suggestions regarding the matter and committed to strictly impose the health and safety protocolas a way to assuring tourists of their safety in visiting the town. .The mayor concluded his statement by saying that, indeed, Tourism is a key economic driver of Anda where a number of public and private beach resorts are located.
