Dauis mayor Marietta Sumaylo fetes Vanessa Sarno for her exploits as a champion female weightlifter.
In a post, Sumaylo sends her congratulatory message to Sarno as the former posted photographs of her and the weightlifting champion.
Dauis, Bohol’s Sarno bagged medals in the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Online Youth World Cup organized by Peru.
She participated in the said tournament that ran from Nov. 11 to 18, 2020. The said tournament drew around 400 athletes from all over the world.
Moreover, the Asian Youth gold medalist Sarno took all three (3) gold medals in the 71 kilogram-category.
Earlier, Sarno won medals for the Philippines in the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships in 2019. She bagged two (2) gold medals and a silver in the two (2) said tournaments.
