The active Coronavirus disease (Covid) cases in Bohol drop to 56 after reaching a high of 154 cases at the onset of this month.
In a virtual presser on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez, spokesman of the Bohol Inter Agency Task Force (BIATF) reported the latest active Covid cases in the province.
Out of the 56 cases, 13 cMare touted to be community transmission cases, he said.
On the other any of the 43 cases are either locally stranded individuals (LSI). overseas Filipino workers (OFW), or authorized persons outside of residence (APOR).
Lopez said the BIATF is giving special attention to the community transmission cases.
The breakdown of community transmission cases is as follows: 2 from Balilihan, 2 from Ubay, 1 from Sikatuna, 1 from Candijay, 1 from Carmen, 1 Carmen healthcare worker, 1 from Danao, 1 from Lila; 1 from Panglao, 1Tagbilaran healthcare worker, 1 from San Miguel.
Majority of the patients who are Covid-positive remain to be asymptomatic, he said.
