Tagbilaran City and Guindulman town are the top winners of the province’s Best in Dayegon and Best in Belen search respectively, according to information from the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) division.

Tagbilaran City receives a cash prize of P200,000 as it cops the first place in the Dayegon Contest.

The town of Jagna is the second placer in the Dayegon Contest and gets P 150,000 as cash prize.

Furthermore, the town of Maribojoc ends up as the third placer of the Dayegon Contest and bags the P100,000 cash prize.

The special award winners are: Madasigon Award – Municipality of Alburquerque, and Best Repertoire – Municipality of Alicia.

Meanwhile, the minor award winners in the Dayegon contest are: Best Instrumentation – Municipality of Pilar, Best in Choreography – Tagbilaran City, and Best Costume – Municipality of Guindulman

On the other hand, the town of Guindulman is the top prize winner, receiving a cash prize of 300,000.

The Municipality of Loon lands in second place in the Belen contest that comes with a P200,000 cash prize.

Moreover, the city of Tagbilaran ends up as the third placer in the Best in Belen search and earns a cash prize P100,000.

Belen contest search minor prize winners are: Kakugi Award-Jagna, Mugna Award-Municipality of Sagbayan, Hugop Award-Municipality of Talibon, Kabilin Award-Municipality of Jagna, Dasig Award-Municipality of San Miguel, and Katahum Award-Municipality of Jagna.

This is the second year that the provincial government, through the Bohol Arts and Culture Heritage (BACH) council, stages the Dayegon and Belen contest with the support of the Department of Tourism, Tourism Promotions Board, and telecommunications company Touch Mobile.
