Balilihan bares its town news and updates

The first family of Balilihan is on hand to help distribute food items to displaced workers in the said town.  In the foreground from left are Atty. Patrisha Chatto, Mayor Pureza Chatto, and Cong. Edgar Chatto. They participate in the distribution of relief packages from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to each of the displaced worker numbering close to 200. Most of the displaced workers are from the transport sector. It can be recalled that displaced workers in the said town also have received 10 kilos of rice each from the local government unit.

Balilihan Women Organization for Development (BAWOD) may now occupy the Balilihan Livelihood Processing Center where the members of the said organization are able to work on four (4) livelihood projects following the ceremonial ribbon cutting to signal the opening of the said center. The BAWOD is working on four (4) livelihood projects namely the making of banana chips, squash noodles, papaya pickles and processed meat. The construction of the center is made possible with the help of the Diwa Party List, which is led by former Gen. Edgardo Aglipay Jr.

Balilihan Mayor Pureza Chatto speaks during the turnover of Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan (KALAHI) sub project which is the retrofitting of the Multi-Purpose Building in barangay Boctol to be used as Barangay Isolation Unit. Barangay Boctol is led by Barangay Captain Obing Llorente.
