DTI, Tagb police check the establishments’ compliance to protocol

Tagbilaran city mayor John Geesnell Yap II reveals that personnel from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and members of the Tagbilaran City police station made the rounds of establishments in the city to check the compliance to protocol, especially the protocol on social distancing.

The inspection stems from reports that people are congregating in some of the city’s establishments, which may violate the social distancing protocol.

The inspection took place on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020, Yap reported in his social media post.

The mayor also said that authorities went to the establishments to supervise the ingress and egress of people.

The mayor reminds the public that the pandemic is still prevailing and health and safety protocols are still being implemented.

He said people should wear face masks, wash hands and maintain physical distance from each other especially in crowded areas such as malls or shopping centers.
