Bohol records 2 new cases of Covid

Bohol records two (2) new Coronavirus disease (Covid) cases as there are three (3) patients who recovered from the said disease.

With the additional cases and the number of patients who recovered’from Covid, the total active Covid cases in the province is pegged at 22, Bohol Inter Agency Task Force (BIATF) spokesman Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez said in a virtual presser on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020.

The 2 new active Covid cases are locally stranded individuals (LSI) from Bilar, he said.

The spokesman added that the patients who reported to have recovered from Covid are a resident from Sikatuna, an authorized person outside residence (APOR) from Cortes, and an LSI from Batuan.

Moreover, Lopez said the remaining 2 active local transmission cases being monitored by the BIATF are from Carmen and from Talibon.

Meanwhile, Lopez credited the cooperation of the public for the drop in active Covid cases here in Bohol.

The active Covid cases surged to as high as 154 at the onset of this month and has dropped to manageable levels.
