SP okays PGBh’s 2021 budget

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) approves the P4,592, 518, 586 budget of the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh).

The budget was approved during the regular session of the SP on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020.

Also approved during Tuesday’s session is the budget for the province’s economic enterprise, Cafe Caloy, pegged at P15 million.

The committee report regarding the appropriation ordinance 036-2020 was presented by Second District Board Member Restituto Auxtero, vice chairman of the Committee on Budget, Finance, and Appropriation.

The committee report was passed and the measure was approved on third and final reading.

The budget was unanimously approved by the board members, according to reports.

About P1, 177,105, 901. 15 of the provincial budget will be used for general services.

The social services sector is getting P1, 233, 168, 496.40 from the provincial budget.

Moreover, the economic services sector gets P2,034, 758, 391. 95 from the budget.

Likewise, the disaster risk reduction and management is allocated with an appropriation of P 147, 485, 796. 50.

According to Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos after the SP approval of the budget, the appropriation ordinance will be transmitted to the office of Gov. Arthur Yap for the latter’s signature.

Furthermore, the appropriation ordinance, once signed by the governor, will be submitted to the Department of Budget and Management for review.
