PGBh releases part 1 of progress report for Boholanos to see

The provincial government of Bohol (PGBh) has just released part 1 of its progress report, which also serves as the year-end record of accomplishments so that Boholanos can track the performance of the Yap-Relampagos administration, especially the response of the provincial leadership against the pandemic.

The Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) office, through the information cluster head, Kevin Damalerio, released information on the progress report of the PGBh right before deadline last night, Dec. 26, 2020. The full text of the report is published on page 8A of this paper.

Part 1 of the report is mainly a record of the interventions and actions done by the PGBh in its response to the impact of the Coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic.

The report, as published, starts with a summary of the Covid cases in the province.

As of last night, the total number of Covid cases in Bohol since the start of the pandemic is 793.

The report also shows that there are 18 active Covid cases, with 759 patients recovering from the disease and 16 Covid-related deaths.

The report also bares that there is a total of 11,404 beds in municipal quarantine facilities located in the various towns in the province. The total bed capacity of the provincial quarantine facility is 176 beds.

The PGBh also reports that it assisted around 35,036 locally stranded individuals (LSI), 11,032 overseas Filipino workere/returning overseas Filipinos (OFW/ROF) and 123 authorized persons outside residence (APOR).

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO COVID-AFFECTED BOHOLANOS

In its report, the PGBh said it provided around P25.8 million in cash assistance to 13,284 stranded offshore Boholanos. The data is accurate as of Dec. 5, 2020.

ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS IN CRISIS SITUATIONS

In the first part of the PGBh progress report, it is revealed that about 7,664 persons received assistance for their medical needs for a total of P16.3 million in medical cost assistance.

Furthermore, the report also indicates that 604 beneficiaries were given burial assistance and the  total funds released for burial assistance reached P1.952 million.

In the same report, around 93 individuals are able to get supportive devices assistance. The total funds disbursed for supportive device assistance is pegged at P260,450.

For transportation cost support, around P 149,000 in funds were disbursed to 58 individuals.

In terms of food support, 1,180 persons were provided assistance with total funds disbursed reaching P521, 480.

It is expected that the PGBh will release the next part of its progress report, which serves as a year-end record of accomplishments.
