2 killed in a road mishap in Maribojoc

2 persons who were riding a motorcycle is reportedly killed in a road mishap after colliding head-on with a pick-up truck driven by a police officer in Maribojoc town, a police report reveals.

The same report provided to The Bohol Tribune indicates that the accident happened on Saturday evening, Dec. 26, 2020, at Kilometer 10, barangay Lincod, Maribojoc town.

The driver of the pick-up truck is identified as Capt. Lamberto Hibaya, chief of police of Antequera police station. The pick-up was traveling towards Tagbilaran City.

The same report bares the truck driven by the police officer all of a sudden swerved to the opposite lane upon reaching Kilometer 10, of barangay Lincod, Maribojoc town and collided with a motorcycle.

Witnesses say that the pick-up ran over the motorcycle, pinning down the two (2) victims.

Moreover, the victims were identified as Danilo Hibaya, the motorcycle driver, and Felomina Gentalian, the passenger.

The suspect is now detained at the Maribojoc police station, the report adds.
