Baclayon police file frustrated murder charge against a barangay tanod for allegedly shooting his live-in partner, police report says.

Baclayon police filed the charge of frustrated murder against the suspect identified as Venancio Orellana on Monday, Jan. 4, 2020 before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, the same report adds.

Orellana, 60, is a barangay tanod of barangay Laya, Baclayon. The shooting incident happened on Friday, Jan. 1, 2020.

On the other hand, the victim, Marina Poquita, 51, was rushed to the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound.

Investigation reveals that prior to the shooting, the suspect and the victim had a heated argument. The victim allegedly admonished the suspect for creating loud noises as the latter had a videoke session with his friends.

Moreover, reports say the victim is still in critical condition in the hospital.
