BIATF reports no new active cases here

The Bohol Inter Agency Task Force (BIATF) reports that there are no new active Coronavirus disease (Covid) cases in Bohol.

The current active cases here are located in seven (7) out of 48 local government units (LGU) in the province.

BIATF spokesman Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez made the report in a virtual presser on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021.

Lopez said the active cases are located in Tagbilaran City and the towns of Alburquerque, Candijay, Dauis, San Miguel, Panglao and Ubay.

Currently, there are 14 active cases in the province, Lopez bared. This is a far cry compared to 154 cases recorded at the early part of December 2020, when Bohol experienced a surge in Covid cases.

Moreover, he added that with the development, the province remains to be at a “low-risk” status in terms of the spread of the virus is concerned.

The BIATF spokesman attributed the slowdown in the spread of the virus to the compliance to health and safety protocol by the people here in the province.
