University of Bohol – College of Criminal Justice (UB-CCJ) alumnus Police Brig. Gen. Arcadio A. Jamora, Jr. takes the post of Acting Commandant of Cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) in Silang, Cavite, a press release from the University bares.
Jamora who assumed office last December 1, 2020, replaced the retired Police Brig. Gen. Wilfredo P. Cayat, the same press release reveals.
Before his assumption as acting Commandant of Cadets, Jamora previously served as Acting Executive Officer of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations (Dipo) for Northern Luzon.
In his new role, Jamora’s responsibilities include the character and leadership development of PNPA cadets, supervision of cadet life activities, and providing facility and logistical support for the future officers of the police force.
Jamora who graduated from UB in 1988, is a 29-year veteran of the PNP. He joined the service in 1991 and has steadily rose through its ranks.
He served as the Chief of Police of Tagbilaran City back in 2011 and also engaged in a United Nations Peacekeeping Mission, the press release says.
Furthermore, Jamora was designated to his current post by Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Debold M. Sinas based on seniority, merit, ability to lead and familiarity with operations of their units. (Elijah L. Sales)
